Unit 7: Going Away

Discuss with your partners:

1. What are these things?
2. In which countries are they? What do you know about them?
3. Would you like to visit these countries? Why? What would you do there?
4. What are some other interesting monuments?



Listening: Listen to the conversation between Alicia and Rita. Answer these questions.

1. Where is Rita going?
2. What are two things that she will do there?
3. What are two things that Rita needs to do before she leaves?
4. Is it hard (difficult) to find bargains? Where can you find bargains?

Practice: Practice the conversation with a partner. Use the “Look-Up-And-Say” method.

Talking About Trips

Tell the class about what you will bring on one of your trips (camping trip, skiing trip, or beach trip). Also, tell us why you will need them.

Also, we need hand sanitizer to not get sick.

Have similar conversations. One of you is a parent (mother or father). The other is a son or daughter. Talk about either: 1. a camping trip, or 2. a skiing trip, or 3. a beach trip.
