- When asking your partner a question, use good stress and rhythm.
- When answering a question, use complete sentences.
- When answering a questions, give details.
How many questions you answer is not important. How well you answer each question is important. Quality is more important than quantity.
………………..
Example: A: Which do you like better, e-mail or letters?
“A”-quality answer
A: Which do you like better, e-mail or letters?
B: I like e-mail better, even though it’s less personal than a letter. E-mail is quicker, and you can send photos with e-mail, as attachments. It’s also more convenient, because you can send e-mail from any computer or from your cell-phone.
“B”-quality answer
A: Which do you like better, e-mail or letters?
B: I like e-mail better because it’s quicker, and you can send photos with e-mail, as attachments.
“C”-quality answer

Also …
–> Don’t speak too slowly or too quickly.
–> Don’t speak too quietly. (You don’t have to be loud. Just be loud enough for your partner and I to hear you easily.)
–> Don’t hesitate or pause.
e.g. “Ummm … I like e-mail better … uhhh … because it’s quicker. You can … 뭐지? … send a picture as an … 뭐라고? … attachment.”
If you are trying to remember something, then say, “Let me think …”
–> Mistakes in grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation are not a problem if I can understand you without difficulty.
–> Do not miss your appointment!
I only have one week to test all of my students, so I cannot reschedule. So if you miss your appointment, you miss the test, and you get 0 out of 30%. Also, you will be marked absent for the whole week (3 hours).
–> Do not be late!
You and your partner only have 10 minutes for this test. That is only 5 minutes for each student. It is worth 30% of your final grade. So, for every minute you are late, you will lose 6 marks.
If your partner is not there, go into the room anyway. Do not be late because of your partner. (I will do the test with you alone.)
* Please wait inside the classroom. Time is very tight.
