Diffusion of H1N1

Originate: When something originates or when someone originates it, it begins to happen or exist.

Announce: If you announce something, you tell people about it publicly or officially.

Durable: Something that is durable is strong and lasts a long time without breaking or becoming weaker.

Diffuse: To diffuse or be diffused through something means to move and spread through it.

Generate: To generate something means to cause it to begin and develop.

Acute: An acute illness is one that becomes severe very quickly but does not last very long. Compare chronic.

Pneumonia: Pneumonia is a serious disease which affects your lungs and makes it difficult for you to breathe.

sneezing: When you sneeze, you suddenly take in your breath and then blow it down your nose noisily without being able to stop yourself, for example because you have a cold.

Handkerchief: A handkerchief is a small square piece of fabric which you use for blowing your nose.

Respiratory: relating to breathing.


What is the H1N1?
H1N1 is that new form of virus. It has broken out around of mexico and america and then, it has spread to various countries of america continent, europe continent, asia continent.
H1N1 is infect from relationship between people, sneezing, and coughing. The incubation period is between 1-7days, symptoms similar to common cold with vomiting,
fever, chills, headache, cough, runny nose, difficulty breathing , diarrhea and so on.[1]

After that H1N1 originate, The most people died from H1N1 flu at america. The WHO(World Health Organization) announced strong and durable influenza is being spread to north america. Also, The WHO announce influenza’s rapid diffusion is being generated in west europe, north europe, east europe, middle asia and west asia and influenza’s spreading speed is very fast in north east asia including korea, japen, and china.
In korea, the dead person from influenza have been rising the unber to 80.[2]

Meanwhile, the entertainment world also with suffered form H1N1.
For example, Kin Hyn-Jung in SS501, Jo-Kwun in 2AM, Jong-Hyun and On-u in Shinee, Lee seng-Kee, K-will got a H1N1. But most of them were healed. Unfortunately, seven-years-old son of actor Lee Kwng-gi died on 8th November by the H1N1. First, people knew Lee’s son’s factor of death was acute pneumonia, but after Lee’s son’s factor of death proved to be a H1N1.[3]

A method of prevention.

1.You must wash hand after going out or meeting many people.

2.When you have a cough or sneezing, you should shield your mouth from tissues or handkerchief.

3.If you have fever or the respiratory organs symptoms, you should wear mask, visit your local medical institution and abstain going out.

4.If you have difficult breathing, breastache, falling consciousness and etc, immediately you should visit local medical institution and you must have be examined even though you aren’t dangerous crowding.

5.If you are dangerous crowding, you can have serious illness because of H1N1.

6.Usually do reinforce immunity.
-Enough sleeping
-Intake equal nutritive elements
-Restrain drinking
-Use an individual tableware.[4]

–> People who might have influenza must stay at home for seven days. What do you think about this? Is it reasonable? Why or why not?

What do you think about canceling school or festivals to prevent the spread of influenza? Is it reasonable? Why or why not?

3.what do you think about response of nation?

–> What do you think about the nation’s response to the H1N1 strain of influenza?
