These days, in school or business, people drink. Drinking has become a part of our life, whether they like drinking or not. When people drink together, they become friendly and release their stress. Research Center late last year surveyed 2,200 people aged 19 to 59, some 85.2 percent of respondents said they drink so-ju (a kind of spirits) when they are distressed by personal problems.[1] But drinking is not always good. Sometimes, when people drink too much, they can be out of control. Drunken people are very dangerous; they can fight each other or commit crimes. If they drive, we call them “Drunken drivers” and they can cause accidents. In this case, they will be punished by laws. (Law: The current law stipulates that a person found guilty of drunken driving shall be punished by imprisonment with prison labor for up to three years and a fine of up to 10 million won ($8,900).[2]) Also excessive drinking causes alcoholism and it is very dangerous. Although people know about these bad sides of drinking, they ignore them.
It is hard for us to give up drinking. So, we should pay attention to these problems
