EPL (English Premier League)

1.Glossary

1)run : manage
2)elapsed : When time elapses, it passes.
3)league : A league is a group of teams that play the same sport or activity against each other.
4)representative : If you represent a person or group at an official event, you go there on their behalf. the same as other people or things in a particular group
5)commercial : Commercial means involving or relating to the buying and selling of goods.

2.Text

we will present about EPL.
EPL is short for English Premier League. It was started in 1992 in England.
At first, there were only 12 football clubs, but now, there are 20 clubs.
From the beginning, it was run to make money. As the result, many star players came to EPL, and most people watch it now.
EPL has 4 representive clubs:Liverpool FC, Manchester United FC, Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC ,which are called ‘the Big 4’.

Since the beginning of EPL, the Big 4 have almost always been of the top of the league.
In Manchester Utd, there is a Korean player, Ji-sung Park, who joined Man Utd in 2005, and he has scored 16 goals in 149 matches.

About 20 years have elapsed since the EPL began, and its popularity has remained high.
Instead, its commercial value is increasing more and more.
In Korea, there is a soccer league called the K-League, but it is no match for EPL.
