Inha University’s Dormitories

Our presentation is about Inha University’s Dormitories.
First, there are two dormitories named 웅비재 and 비룡재.
웅비재 is located opposite inha’s main entrance.
비룡재 is next to Inha technical college.
In the dormitories, there are two- or four-person rooms.[1]

There are a lot of facilities in Inha University’s Domitories.
For example, cafeterias, toilets, shower rooms, study rooms, information rooms, convenice stores,
fitness centers, launderettes, etc
In the cafeterias, we can choose, western food or korean food.
And we have to share toilets and shower rooms with other people.
Information rooms have computers and copy machines.
we can search for information.[2]

From 5/9 to 5/12, there is an ‘Open House’ party
In 비룡재, there are many programs such as a masquerade, a picture puzzle game,
pool match, quiz’golden bell’, limbo, tetris, and etc
Couple game,’웅비촌’, is held in 웅비재 And ‘투호’, ‘달고나’, cooking contest, talent show, etc.[3],[4]


masquerade : To masquerade as someone or something means to pretend to be that person or thing,
particularly in order to deceive other people.

dormitory : A dormitory is a large bedroom where several people sleep, for example in a boarding school.

cafeteria : A cafeteria is a restaurant where you choose your food from a counter and take it to your table after paying for it.
Cafeterias are usually found in public buildings such as hospitals, colleges, and stores.

launderette : A Launderette is a place where people can pay to use machines to wash and dry their clothes.

limbo : If you say that someone or something is in limbo, you mean that they are in a situation
where they seem to be caught between two stages and it is unclear what will happen next.

This vocabulary will be on Written Test #2:

1. masquerade: (verb) to pretend to be another person or thing, particularly in order to deceive other people

2. launderette: (noun) a place where people can pay to use machines to wash and dry their clothes

3. limbo: (noun) an uncertain situation that you cannot control and in which there is no progress or improvement
