Correcting things you say

– Well

e.g. “I don’t remember much about kindergarten. Well, I remember my first day.”

– Actually

e.g. “Actually, I don’t remember the day, but I remember on the way home I missed my bus stop.”

– I mean

e.g. “The teacher, I mean, the bus driver, had to call and find out my address.”

– No, wait

e.g. “It happened when I was five … no, wait … I was only four.”
