1. Two Telephone Conversations

Conversation One

Student A: You are a math teacher. You collected homework today in class. During your conversation, you spill your coffee. Interrupt and Restart your conversation.

Student B: You are a student. You were absent from class today. You want to give your homework to your teacher. You call your teacher to ask if you can meet tomorrow in the teacher’s office. Begin the conversation with “Ring, ring.”

Conversation Two

Student A: You won a writing contest. The prize was two free tickets to a movie. You want to invite your friend (Student B) to come with you. You call your friend. Begin the conversation with “Ring, ring.”

Student B: You are Student A’s friend. During your conversation, a delivery boy arrives at the door with a pizza. Interrupt and Restart your conversation.

2. Describing Four Things

Each student describes two of the things below. The other student listens and then guesses what it is. (Therefore, four items in total.)

3. Expressing Probability

Student A asks Student B two of the questions below. Student B answers by Expressing Probability in a complete sentence.

(Therefore, four questions in total.)

– Do you think you’ll take a vacation this summer?
– Do you think you’ll live in another country someday?
– Do you think you’ll look for a job this year?
– Do you think you’ll live in the same home for the rest of your life?
– Do you think you’ll ever be rich?

Student B asks Student A a question.

  1. Thank you for the information. But, I have a question.
    In the case of ‘Two Telephone Conversations’ , I wonder that the final test will questions to us only above 2 situations.
    Is that right? (I don’t know If i write correctly…^___^)

    • You do both conversations. Remember that if you are Student A in Conversation #1, you must also be Student A in Conversation #2.

        Who is student A?
        Do you mean ‘we can choose it.’ or ‘we are assigned to Student A’?

  2. Will we be test on that question? For example, Will we describe one of the things like “dog” exactly? Or we describe another vocabulary that Professor gives?

    • You can reply with one sentence that uses a “Expressing Probability” expression.
