Filed under: announcements — richardlstansfield @ 6:53 am

If you want to contact me, please leave a comment here, at this web-site. The reasons for this are:

* Someone else might have the same question as you.

Here is how you do it:

1. Go to leave a comment.

2. Under “Leave a Reply”, write your message. Be sure to include your class number!

3. Write your e-mail address. (Only I will see it. Other people will not see it.)

4. Write your name.

5. Click on “Post comment.”

Thank you in advance.

Have a great summer.

Mr. Richard Stansfield

Final Marks and Other Information

Filed under: announcements — richardlstansfield @ 6:13 am

Find your final mark by looking below, under your class number.

The first number is your student ID number. The second number is your mark out of 80. Your mid-term exam is out of 20. Add the two numbers together to get a number out of 100.

Example:

Hyorin’s student ID# is 12345678. She had a mid-term exam score of 15/20. Under her class number, she finds:

12345678, 60.5

So her mark out of 100 is 75.5 (15/20 + 60.5/80 = 75.5/100).

What mark out of 100 gives you an A? I don’t know. I don’t determine that. So, please don’t say things like, “Give me an A,” or “I want an A.” However, if you have any questions about your mark, such as test scores, you may leave a comment. Finally, if you think that there has been a mistake, then please contact me as soon as possible because it’s easier to fix now rather than later.

Be sure to include your class number!

More about Final Speaking Exam

Filed under: final speaking exam — richardlstansfield @ 8:35 am

* Do not miss your appointment!
I only have one week to test all of my students, so I can’t reschedule. So if you miss your appointment, you miss the test, and you get 0 out of 30 points. Also, you will be marked absent for the whole week (3 hours).

* Arrive a few minutes early.

* Wait inside the classroom, not outside in the hall. So, be in the classroom a few minutes early.

* Do not be late! I will start the test on time. For every minute that you are late, you will lose 6 marks out of 30. Also, if you miss a section (e.g. the two conversations), then you will receive zero (0) for that section.

* Do not wait for your partner to arrive. Go inside the classroom and wait.

* If your partner does not arrive in time, Mr. Stansfield will act as your partner.
(Because of this, you should have your script written out in case of emergency.)

* There must be two different conversations. Don’t do the same conversation twice.

* Two different questions must be asked. Don’t ask each other the same question.

* When answering a discussion question from the list (from the class presentations):
– answer with complete sentences.
– give some details.

* Don’t speak too quietly. (You don’t have to be loud. Just be loud enough for your partner and I to hear you easily.)

* Don’t hesitate or pause.
e.g. “I like … ummm … Halloween best because … uhh … you can put on a … 뭐지? … costume and go to a … 뭐라고? … party.”
If you are trying to remember something, then say, “Let me think …”
