Wearable Devices

GPS : global positioning system.
destination : the place to which they are going or being sent
vibration : a mechanical phenomenon whereby oscillations occur about an equilibrium point
indicate : show them where it is, especially by pointing to it

3. Text
Our presentation is about wearable devices. Wearable devices are a smart devices to worn on the body. First we will see a video(about 30seconds). In the past, it was unimaginable. But nowadays, you can do that.

Wearable devices are wearable mini-computers. There are some kind of wearable devices. For example, watches, glasses, shoes and so on. And there are many companies that make wearable devices. In addition, wearable devices have many functions.

First, Samsung is well-known in Korea. It was founded in 1969 by Lee, Byung-chul. [1] Samsung produces Galaxy-Gear. This picture is Galaxy-Gear series. Galaxy-Gear is a smart-watch. Galaxy-Gear is linked with cell-phones. So it can receive a call and send a message. In addition, it is possible to measure the heart rate. And also check the weather. If Galaxy-Gear is far from the connected smart phone, the vibration let user know to prevent to lose.[2]

Next, Ducere makes Lechal. Ducere was started in 2011 by Krispian and Anirudh.[3] Lechal are smart-shoes. Lechal means “Take me there” in Hindi. Lechal has GPS and is connected with Google-maps. If you enter the destination in the cell-phone, the vibration of the shoes indicates the direction. And it can record the quantity of exercise, makes it possible to systematically achieve the goal.[4]

And, Google also produces wearable devices. Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. [5] It produces Google-glass. Google-glass are smart-glasses. Google-glass operates with just hand gestures and speech. Google-glass is not only to take pictures, but also records everything you see. Surprisingly, the weight of this is just 50grams. [6]

Wearable devices will be developed to be more diverse and more convenient. Everything you can imagine is real.
